Almere City FC directly signs on Ezra Walian. The nineteen-year-old striker from Ajax signed a two-year contract today.
As the son of a Dutch mother and an Indonesian father, Walian was selected for every Dutch national youth team after deciding to play for the Indonesian national team just this year. In the Asian country Walian has grown to be a well known player, with close to 200.000 followers on Instagram. His last picture – dressed in the shirt of the national team – received over 82k likes, definite proof that the center forward has become a true figurehead in the football crazed country.
Currently Walian is staying in Malasya, where he is competing in the Southeast Asia Games with his national team.
Walian will return to the Netherlands on the 31th of August, succeeding he will join the team of Almere City FC. The talented attacker originates from the youth academy of AZ and transferred to Ajax when he was only 14 years old. In 2013 he signed his first professional contract in Amsterdam, where he made his professional debut on the 26th of September 2016. In the past season Wallian played 22 matches for the successful team of Ajax Reserves in the first division of the Netherlands, de Jupiler League.
